For one of my college projects, I branded Sealand, a micronation located off the coast of Britain. It has an amazing history and you can listen to this podcast or visit their new website to learn more. Although Sealand follows each of the rules for statehood (it has a territory, permanent population, government, and the capacity to enter into relations with the other states), it has been deemed a "micronation" because it is not formally recognized by any other countries.
